Spring Clean

So Saturday was the first day off Ive had in ages, my boyfriend is away in London so I thought I would invite my friends over for dinner and some drinks.

We hadn't seen each other since my birthday so there wass much catching up to do. I didn't cook anything too difficult just a spaghetti bolognaise (yes another one) I did try the focaccia recipe I mentioned in my bread related post.

It tasted pretty good, it wasn't as flat or oily as I think focaccia is supposed to be (but when I write it like that it doesn't sound appetising anyway!) any tips?

Ive also had to clean the state that is my flat. The terrapins are squeaky clean as well, Ben normally cleans them so I had to pretty much blag my way through the cleaning process, my back is killing me and their water doesnt even look as nice as when Ben does it...still better than the green soup they were swimming in, poor darlings!

Why I love terrapins :]

I thought I would post some more pictures of my terrapins to show you.


They are a little blurry , the lighting in my bedroom is rubbish and terrapins dont stop moving really to pose for photographs!

If these pictures weren't enough here are some other reasons:

1. they have personalities.
2. they are histerical (watch them swimming against the filter stream, also they sometimes try to climb out the tank but their arms are just a fraction too small and they plop back into the water hehe).
3.they like to have a little stretch on their rock every now and then.
4. they paddle like mad against the tank when you walk in the room (probably to get food) but I like to think its because they are pleased to see me!
5.When they are scared they pop arms legs and head inside their shell just like in cartoons.

when you look at the tank from the corner it refracts and makes it look like we have 4 sometimes!

Shelby has spots on his belly/undershell Terrance does not. They are about 4years old we think, a friend gave them to us becuase they didnt have room for them anymore.

best decision I ever made!

Moved into a flat with my boyfriend :] <3
Ben and I welcomed Terrance and Shelby into our new home, terrapins are my new favourite animal :)


Visiting Amsterdam, mine and Ben's first holiday together!

I also got promoted from sales assistant to Supervisor at work :) go me!

So as you can see it was a year of firsts which I plan to keep coming next year! I want to keep visiting new places home and abroad. April 2012 will also be mine and Ben's 4year anniversary! I cannot wait to spend another year together, happy in Cardiff with our pet terrapins :D
